SOCIAL ORGANIZATION
The theme Social Organization explores the ways in which groups of people organize themselves, or are organized, through common systems or interests.
In this section, students will be offered opportunities to communicate about matters of personal, local, national and global interest in the context of the study of Social organization, through the treatment of a range of topics:
- Neighbourhood
- Education
- The workplace
- Social issues
Students will be exposed to a variety of text types in relation to the theme of Social organization and its subtopics, that will allow them to compare the target language and culture(s) to other languages and cultures, as well as to other disciplinary areas in the DP.
They will be invited to answer a range of questions on the theme of Social organization, like the following:
- What purpose do rules and regulations have in society?
- What is my role in society?
- What options do I have in the world of work?
